Privacy Policy

Pavilion ("we", "us") is operated by Conflux Labs Ltd, a private limited company registered in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information we collect

We collect three categories of information.

Newsletter and request data. When you subscribe to our newsletter or ask for a city-friend introduction, we collect your email address and any preferences or trip details you provide. Newsletter subscriptions and city-friend request tags are processed through Buttondown. We do not collect names or postal addresses unless you provide them.

Itinerary inputs. If you use the planner, your trip parameters are sent to our configured AI provider to generate a response. Pavilion does not currently create accounts, save generated itineraries for later retrieval, or intentionally retain planner prompts in a Pavilion database. The AI provider may process service logs according to its own terms.

Anonymous analytics. If configured, we use Plausible Analytics to understand which articles are read and how visitors arrive at the site. Plausible does not use cookies and is designed for aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics. If Plausible is not configured, the site does not load that analytics script.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to deliver the service you requested: sending the newsletter, generating itineraries, reviewing city-friend requests, and improving editorial content based on aggregate reading patterns. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may share aggregated, non-identifiable data with research or editorial partners. We may also disclose information when legally required to do so.

Cookies

Pavilion does not currently set its own tracking cookies. Third-party services we use or embed, such as Google Fonts, Buttondown, Plausible, or the configured AI provider, may process technical data according to their own policies.

Your rights

If you reside in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete the personal information we hold about you. During the temporary launch, you can exercise these rights by subscribing to Pavilion and replying to any issue with the subject line "Data Request".

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of each email. We honor unsubscribe requests within 24 hours.

Data retention

We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. We do not currently keep generated itineraries in a Pavilion user account or database. Aggregate analytics, when enabled, may be retained in Plausible. Operational logs may be retained by our hosting provider, Buttondown, and the configured AI provider according to their own retention policies.

Children

Pavilion is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

International transfers

Conflux Labs Ltd is based in the United Kingdom. Our service providers may process data in the EU, UK, or United States. Where data is transferred from the UK or EU to the US, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced via the newsletter and on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
